Good Friday 2022: when, Why and How to Observed
Good Friday is the day for Christian people to celebrate the memory of Jesus’s crucifixion. Good Friday is the sixth day of Holy week and is also known as Holy Friday, Great Friday, Black Friday and Easter Friday. According to mainstream Christian tradition, Good Friday is observed as an occasion of sorrow, penance, and fasting the day. A lot of us who weren’t raised in a practicing Christian family might not know the importance of this day. Today, we will bring the interesting fact about Good Friday like why, when, and how it is celebrated these days.
When is Good Friday?
Good Friday is generally observed last Friday before Easter. Only twelve states of America consider Good Friday as a holiday. So it doesn’t get that much attention like Easter Sunday. In the year 2022, Good Friday falls on 15 April, as we said earlier, just before 17 April’s Easter Sunday.
Dates for Good Friday
Holiday | Date |

Why do Christians observe it?
According to the Bible, after betraying Judas, Jesus got marked and arrested by some Jewish priests, forcibly brought to the house of Annas, then they interrogated Christ but didn’t get any answers from Jesus that could satisfy them. They had been frustrated after some time. Then Jesus was taken into captivity by Caiaphas, who was the high priest where the Sanhedrin had gathered. the son of God was beaten by them, ordered to carry the cross on which he would be crucified and then put to death.
What is good about it then?
If your heart has the same question, then hard luck for you too. Some historians say that the day is good in the sense of holy, others say it is just a phrase, a complete corruption of ‘God’s Friday’.
